Sustainability

Our entrepreneurial model is based on the use of wholly recycled raw materials, alongside other standpoints. Long before the current dynamics became commonplace, more than 15 years ago, we began working with recycled plastic, adapting the design of our products to these and sizing the same as per the needs of the project and regulatory standards in the construction sector.

Recycling

EPD

We work towards a society in evolution, for a sector undergoing continuous improvement, and that improvement must be documented and accredited, as our clients demand of us.

In 2021, Cáviti was accredited by the International EPD® System and we published the DAP (Environmental Product Declaration) dossier for the Cáviti slab formwork solution. This document analyzes, according to international standards, the consumption and resources used during its manufacturing, installation, operational life, and, once its useful life ends, in the demolition phase and final disposal of debris.

In the same way, it quantifies the carbon footprint and certifies the use of recycled plastics.

Cold storage

The use of the Caviti System as a ventilated floor in refrigeration installations is an optimal choice. The solution with Caviti products prevents ground condensation which in the event of loss of cold, can lead to ground freezing. Furthermore, this is performed by eliminating the high maintenance costs of other solutions based on heated floors or glycol installations. Ask us how to size the floor based on the loads, geometry and casuistry of your project.

Radon

The recent addition to the Technical Building Code (CTE) of criteria and guidelines for the control of emissions of this gas, has allowed us to contribute good practices for compliance with said standard. Quantitatively, the ventilation points of the Caviti chamber must be clearly defined and then sized accordingly. Based on the list of municipalities that include the standard and that indicates those affected by HS6, we will define in number, section and position, the placement of ventilation points of the Caviti chamber. We work alongside you in the sizing of these elements.

Health-humidity

The CTE, since its entry into use, has marked as necessary the control of humidity or damp in our buildings. This is still an issue that improves their health and ultimately that of their tenants. The basic document HS1 sets out the minimum guidelines from which a properly ventilated screed will prevent the appearance of these pathologies. The Caviti screed facilitates the ventilation of the sanitary chamber without bearing capacity limitations and greatly simplifying the fitting of self-supporting slabs or other types of solutions. These ventilation points must be properly sized and situated, so that in a natural way we renew the volume of air in it, thereby avoiding condensation. There will be situations in which immediate compliance with the standard is complex, and solutions must be devised that, with similar criteria, fulfil the same task. Tell us how we can help you.
